Birgitta Campbell

Greek and Balkan Circle Dance
A village square in Northern Greece; evening light; food and drink in plentiful supply; musicians playing to entice and excite the dancers of every age and aptitude; to dance, be pulled into the spiralling exuberance of an age old village celebration.

Birgitta has been privileged to dance and study in Greece and Northern Macedonia and to participate in seminars with Balkan dance specialists in the UK. She been teaching and sharing her love for Balkan dance for the past 25 years, working with adults, primary schoolchildren and groups of young adults with learning disabilities.

She will be teaching easy traditional dances from across the Balkan countries, with some more challenging thrown in. All dances are in open circles; no partner needed.

Birgitta is also a fiddle player, teaching with Sistema Norwich, playing and calling with local ceilidh bands Zaramo (Ceilidhs International style) and Pendragon.
